UFC 130: Live Results / Play-by-Play
UFC 130: Rampage vs. Hamill at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The pay-per-view main event card will air live beginning at 9 P.M. ET / 6 P.M. PT and will include a title fight double header.
Two preliminary fights will be available live on Spike TV at 8 P.M. ET / 5 P.M. PT, and the three other preliminary fights will all be available free on Facebook live starting at 6:45 P.M. ET / 3:45 P.M. PT.

Tonight's event features a headliner between former light heavyweight champion, ‘Rampage’ Jackson and Matt Hamill. In the co-headliner, former heavyweight champion, Frank Mir, will look to get back on track towards heavyweight title contention against Roy Nelson. Other pay-per-view bouts include heavyweights Stefan Struve vs. Travis Browne, welterweights Thiago Alves vs. Rick Story and middleweights Brian Stann vs. Jorge Santiago.

I've posted my predictions here. Your input is welcome, and I'll gladly eat crow if my picks fall short, though I did get 5 of 6 correct at UFC 129 (not to brag or anything).

MAIN CARD:
Brian Stann vs. Jorge Santiago
Round 1 - Stann starts the fight the aggressor, stalking Santiago. Leg kick from Stann. Santiago evading, missing counters. Santiago attacks, Stann counters, Santiago slips to the floor and quickly gets back up. Santiago throwing combos looking for Straigt right. Leg kick from Stann almost tumbles Santiago. Both men trading kicks, Stann mixing with combos. Stann nails Santiago with big right sinking him to the floor. Stann pounces and tees off on Santiago while Santiago desperately tries to defend. Stann slows his pace, but Santiago still appears out of it. Ref warns Santiago not to hold the fence. Stann lands a couple more bombs before standing and letting first round time expire. Stann easy 10-9.
Round 2 - Stann opens round two with leg kicks. Santiago grabs ahold of one and tries to send him to the mat. Stann stuffs and ends up back against the cage. Stann shakes Santiago off and escapes. Another Stann leg kick. Santiago body kick and a right hand. Stann stalking just missing a straight right. Stann stuffs another takedown. Peppered leg kicks from Stann and combos from both men. Spinning backfist lands for Santiago, but Stann walks it off and attacks. Stann catches a lazy leg kick, but lets it go. Both men appear to be tiring. Another Stann leg kick. Stann body kick followed by a combo ending in a straight left jab. Santiago slips and falls again to the mat but gets up quickly. Santiago swings, Stann counters and lands with a right dropping Santiago. Stann jumps to finish teeing off as the ref steps into to save the battered Santiago. Brian Stann def. Rick Story vs. Thiago Alves
Round 1 - Rick Story opens with a quick combo. Alve lands right hand. Story looks for an early take down and finally drags Alves to the mat. Alves stands, Story has Alves back, throwing knees into Alves thighs. Knees digging into the calves. Both men up. Alves turn around and takes Story to the mat. Story stands immediately. Story gets Alves against the cage. Story ducks for a take down, but Alves stuffs. More Story knees to thighs. The Ref resets both fighters. Story stalks, Alves throws a quick flurry, and Story pushes Alves back to the cage. Knee to the body from Story. Story backs up and unleashes a flurry on Alves. Teeing off. Alves clinches and both men back to the fence fighting for position. Alves separates and both men throwing wildly. Story lands knees, pushes Alves to the fence and misses a take down as the round ends. Story 10-9.
Round 2 - Story hunting Alves down early in the second. Story chases Alves to the fence, locks up the clinch and starts again with knees. Alves pushes Story off and evades. Story shoots for a takedown countering an Alves leg kick. Take a moment, but Story drags him down. Alves right back up. Thiago then takes Story down moving into half guard. After a bit on the mat, Story burst back to his feet and again pushes Aves to the cage. Thiago rolls out, escapes, but Stry quickly takes back his position hurling Alves to the fence. Ref once again resets the fighters to the center of the cage. Story again to the cage. Alves turns Story around, releases and throws a flurry. Both men end the round in the center of the cage swinging on eachother. Solid 10-9 for Story.
Round 3 - Alves shows signs of desperation quickly taking action in the center of the cage. Alves lands a knee. Both men swinging, Alves lands a left hook. Both men seem comfortable swinging in the open. Story getting the better of the striking as he closes the distance on Alves. Story again clinches driving Alves to the fence. Alves spins Story off and retreats. Alves lands another left hook. Alves is spending more time evading than offending. Alves another left and another. Story walks through them swinging. Alves his Story with a right and then a knee momentarily dazing Story. Story blocks and Alves head kick. Both men swing wildly Alves throwing knees in the final ten seconds. Alves 10-9. Story should have this 2 rounds to 1.Rick Story def. Thiago Alves by Unanimous Decision (All Three 29-28).
Stefan Struve vs. Travis Browne
Round 1 - Browne opening with leg kicks. Struve throws one of his own. Struve attacks with an overhand right and grabs clinch. backing Browne into the cage. Browne turns Struve around and gets warned to not hold the fence. Ref resets to the center of the cage. Browne aggressively throwing kicks and fists. Struve dodging and checking. Body kick by Struve. Browne throwing wild heavy fists. Browne clinches and drags Struve to the mat into half guard. Browne drags Struve to the ground. Struve defending. Browne pops up, Struve grabs Brownes foot and trips him to the floor. Grabs for a darce, but can't hold on. Browne reverses, and stands. Browne throws a superman punch right which cleaned out Struve before he hit the floor. Browne jumped to finish, but the Ref quickly dives to protect the fallen Struve. Travis Browne def. Stefan Struve by KO at 4:11 First Round.
Frank Mir vs. Roy Nelson
Round 1 - Nelson looks for first blood with heavy right rushing in on Mir. Mir stuffs a Nelson takedown. Nelson pushes Mir to the cage and spices it with a little dirty boxing. Mir escapes and throws a big knee to Nelson's head. Head kick from Mir. Nelon tags Mir with a right. Back to the cage with Nelson holding Mir against the fence. Mir pushes space and tees off with knees. Knees keep coming to Nelson's head, but Nelson keeps on standing. Nelson grabs ahold of Mir and pushes his weight back into Mir against the cage. Men separate. Mir continues to throw knees and Nelson throws bombs. Mir trips Nelson to the floor, easily earns full mount. Nelson escapes while Mir takes his back. Nelson quickly to his feet and escapes. Round finishes with a lazy knee from Nelson. Mir 10-9.
Round 2 - Nelson lands a right. Leg kick from Mir. Another. Mir pushes Nelson back into the cage. Mir drops down for a single and easily gets the takedown into half guard. Elbow by Mir from top. Nelson tries to get up and Mir takes Nelson's back. Nelson stands with his back against the cage and lands an uppercut right. Both men appear pretty gassed. Mir throws a knee. Frank drops and again drops Nelson to the mat. Nelson stands and eats a couple of punches as payment. Deep breath as they separate. Big kicks to the body from Mir. Nelson, shows Mir back to the cage and attempts a takedown of his own. Not gonna happen. Ref resets men to interupt their resting period just as the round expires. 10-9 Mir.
Round 3 - Both men lazily striking early in the final round. Mir with a leg kick to Nelson's body. Mir forces Nelson to the fence, drops down and takes Nelson to the floor. Shorts elbows on top from Mir. Mir trying to advance possibly for an armbar, but Nelson uses the opportunity to stand eating a knee on the way up. Mir once again puts Nelson on the mat.After minor punishment, Nelson stands. And again, back down. Nelson lays exhuasted as Mir punishes Nelson. Nelson back to his feet. Matt Hamill vs. ‘Rampage’ Jackson
Round 1 - Alright, let's see if Hamill can break Rampage's will like promised. Both men touch gloves. uick leg kick from Hamill. Head kick from Hamill blocked. Hamill ducks in with light combo. Rampage appears to be waiting. Rampage stuffs a takedown and then swings wildly. Hamill now a little more tenative. Rampage now doing the stalking. Headkick from Hamill grazes over Rampage. Rampage lands a right. Hamill sticking with leg kicks from a distance where he feel comfortable, but not ammounting to anything. Rampage is lighting up with combos everytime Hamill ducks in for a jab. Rampage looking to end Hamill's night with an uppercut. Another Hamill leg kick earns him a punishing Rampage combo. Rampage stuffs another take down. A minute left in the round, it's gonna be a long night for Hamill. Rampage stuffs takedown and hits Hamill with a knee. Rampage stalking trading rights, lefts uppercuts and peppering with occasional knees. Rampage 10-9
Round 2 - Hamill hurrys with a head kick, Rampage tries to counter. Another takedown attempt stuffed easily. Rampage pushes Hamill to the fence and drops a couple knees to Hamill's body. Another uppercut from Rampage. A very lazy takedown attempt from Hamill and he gets punished for it. Both men circle the cage earning boos from the crowd for their lack of engagement. Leg kicks from Hamill not landing. Hamill punished for another missed takedown attempt. Inside leg kick from Hamill, and Rampages unloads right left, uppercut. Rampage throwing knees at Hamill's head finishing the round. Easy 10-9 for Rampage.
Round 3 - Hamill misses with a superman punch. Rampage missing on some heavy rights. Hamill takedown stuffed, so he delivers a knee to the body instead. Leg kick from Hamill. Hamill's striking is not at all threatening. Hamill presses Rampage against the fence. Knee from Rampage. Rampage landing amost at will, but Hamill still standing. Men clinch, Rampage throws a knee towards Hamill's head and pushes him against to cage. Hamill reverses, but can't progress. Gassed Rampage swings for the fences as time winds down. 10-9 Rampage. Rampage Jackson def. Matt Hamill by Unanimous Decision (All three 30-27)
Joe Rogan comments Rampage, but Rampage apologizes for not being able to finish the fight. Rampage says he tried, but compliments Hamill for being extremely tough.
