Bettor Wins Over $50k on UFC 131 Parlay
This past weekend’s UFC 131 paid out not only the contracted amounts and fight bonuses, but also paid out huge for one lucky bettor. Bodog.eu confirmed that one of it’s bettors placed a $200 wager on a twelve fighter parlay. The parlay correctly picked all twelve fights of the UFC 131 fight card which led to a $51,547 payout according to MMAFighting.
"Hitting parlays in MMA happens often but to hit every fight right on a 12-fight card in one night is unheard of, especially that the parlay included a mix of favorites and a few medium underdogs, including two controversial decisions that went in the bettor's favor." Bodog Sports Book Director Richard Gardner told MMAFighting.com.
One of the decisions that Gardner was referring to was Mark Munoz vs. Demian Maia which each fighter took an early round and the third was up for grabs. The other controversial decision was the one giving Darren Elkins a win over Michihiro Omigawa. The UFC President, Dana White, himself said the judges were incorrect, and that he’d be paying Omigawa his win bonus anyway.
As for the bettor, I’m sure he happily agrees with the judges scorecards that night giving him a sizeable bonus of his own.
