UFC 134 -Live Results And Play-By-Play

UFC 134 kicks off tonight in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil featuring the middleweight championship headliner bout between current champion Anderson Silva and Yushin Okami, a co-main event rematch featuring former light heavyweight champions Forrest Griffin and Mauricio Rua battling to stay relevant in their division, in addition to a heavyweight fight between Brendan Schaub and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira in which some feel should be a heavyweight title eliminator.

LUIZ CANE VS. STANISLAV NEDKOV
Rd1 - Cain swings heavy left but missies. Nedkov's counter also misguided.  Both men swinging. Cain lands a good right as Nedkov pushes Cain forward to the fence. Cain evades circles away. Leg kick from Cain.  Nedkov with a right. Cain working the distance with a left followed by another leg kick. Nedkov constantly working counter rights landing them regularly. Cain throws a high kick that causes him to slip. Nedkov chases Cain as he stands and escapes. Cain landing his left and Nedkov is getting knocked around. Another leg kick from Cain looks like it hurts Nedkov bad. Nedkov catches Cain that hurts him badly! Nedkov chases Cain down as Cain tries to evade once again, but not this time. Cain's back to the fence and Nedkov tees off until the ref steps in.

ANTONIO RODRIGO NOGUEIRA VS. BRENDAN SCHAUB
Rd1 - Men clinch, Schaub pushes Nog to the fence. Schaub pushes off and creates distance. Schaub throws a couple punches, and  Nog doesn't want any of it. Nog clinches and drags SChaub to the fence where he gets off some dirty boxing. Schaub again separates and gets out to the center. Both men swinging and landing. Nog the aggressor. Schaub sprinkles in a couple of leg kicks hoping to create distance. Nog lands a solid left. and again. Schaub huge right uppercut and throws a quick flury and then resets. Both men swinging wildly and Nog lands big on Schaub! Schaub is in big trouble and Nog finishes up with a couple more big punches as Schaub face plants into the floor!

ROSS PEARSON VS. EDSON BARBOZA
Rd1 - Edson misses high kick early. Pearson is attacking in and checks a couple more Edson leg kicks. Pearson the aggressor is pressing forward swinging while Edson picks an occasional shot with peppered leg kicks. Pearson catches Edson with a left putting him against the fence and Edson evades. Pearson with a body shot and Edson with a nice counter combo followed by another kick. Pearson another left. Pearson with a knee and pushes Edson to the cage. Edson spinning back kick lands hard near Pearson's liver, but Pearson seems unscathed. Leg kick to the body from Pearson.  Pearson misses a superman punch. Pearson continues to stalk Edson. Edson using leg kicks to keep some separation, but Pearson continues forward. Pearson shoots and pushes Edson to the cage but can't earn the take down. Edson evades. Pearson takes the first round 10-9.

Rd2 - Pearson with a left and a body kick. Edson catches the kick and counters Pearson dropping him to the floor. Pearson quickly back to his feet but a little wobbled. Edson  delivers a shot to the liver. Both men trade leg kicks and Pearson marches forward. Leg kick from Edson checked. Edson with a right. Leg kick from Pearson.Pearson shoots but not close to scoring that one. Nice left from Edson. Edson with another nice combo with a solid right and then escapes. Spinning back kick lands for Edson again. Pearson stalking hits with a left. Edson kick to Pearson's ribs. Pearson pushes Edson to the cage. Edson delivers a knee from the clinch and then separates.  10-9 for the Brazilian.

Rd3 - Pearson lands a good left. attacks in lands another left hook followed by a right. Edson spinning back kick followed by a front kick. Head kick misses for Edson and a right comes up short as well. Body kick lands on Pearson's shoulder, and Pearson presses forward lands with a right, initiates the clinch but can't score the take down. Edson separates with a knee and evades. Leg kick from Pearson unchecked. Pearson again shoots to no avail. Inside leg kick from Pearson. Pearson stalking lands a right. Edson with a leg kick. Pearson with a left hook followed by a right. Another spinning back kick. Pearson stalking Edson as the round expires. Close round, Pearson 10-9.

MAURICIO RUA VS. FORREST GRIFFIN
Rd1 - Forrest misses high kick. Rua comes in with a flury but nothing lands. Forrest follows but nothing solid. Forrest jumps to attack and Rua lands a solid uppercut counter that leaves Forrest dazed for a second. Rua lands on Forrest, Forrest falls to the floor and turns to try and cover up and escape but Rua doesn't afford him any time as he jumps, tees off and finishes the fight with Forrest's arms flailing.

ANDERSON SILVA VS. YUSHIN OKAMI
Rd1 - Leg kick from Silva. Okami stalking. Silva, testing with his left jab as usual. Okami pawing with his right feeling out distance. Over a minute in and finally a clinch, but they separate. Nearly two minutes, and Silva swings big missing left hook.  Okami stalking,  and finally throws a left, misses but uses it to clinch and bring Silva to the cage. Okami in a tight clinch attacking Silva's body. Silva trying to separate throws some knees while pushing Okami to create some space. Okami with a right uppercut. Okami with a knee. Silva more knees, Okami drops for a single, but can't get it. Okami with another knee. Silva with a shoulder butt and they separate. Silva now firing long rights and lands a pair on Okami's chin.Okami attacks forward with a left. Leg kick from Silva. Uppercut by silva followed by a knee to close out the round. 10-9 Silva.

Rd2 - Okami with the first attack. Silva mixing up a quick jab, leg kick finding his distance. Jab by Okami. Quick jab by Silva floors Okami Silva lets him stand. Silva is now  toying with Okami. Body kick by Silva. Another punch floors Okami again, and this time Silva attacks teeing off, knee to the body as Okami turns and covers up, but this one is all over.
