POST FIGHT QUOTES:

DONALD CERRONE: "There were a couple of things I should have done differently, but I'll work on it. I want to fight one more time this year - bring it on. I don't want to wait."

DENNIS SIVER: "Donald hits very hard. Both shots got me pretty wobbled and I was unable to collect myself after the second one. That made it very easy for him to sink in the submission and there was nothing I could do."

BRENDON VERA:
"I wanted to stay in his face. He also wanted a win badly. It was a must win for both of us. I wish my performance was better. I was trying to get a knock out but it wasn't happening."

ELIOT MARSHALL:
"I should have kept moving forward.  Every time I did, I made it work.  I've got to get back in camp and see where I go from here.  I felt that everything was right, but obviously I've got some work to do."

RAMSEY NIJEM: "I worked hard with my camp. I have the best grappling and striking coaches. I felt relaxed out there and had a blast. It meant a lot for me to out and compete with top level athletes."

DANNY DOWNES: "He did exactly what I thought he was gonna do. He executed his game plan to perfection. I didn't perform up to my full abilities. Losing is the worst feeling in the world and I don't plan on this happening again."

FRANCIS CARMONT: "Chris is a tough guy, but this is what I do and I do it well. I'm ready for my next fight in a few months. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I love what I do and I'm going to keep on doing it."

CHRIS CAMOZZI: "I just wasn't able to pull the trigger on him. His distance really threw me off the entire bout. I had a great training camp. I really felt prepared for this. I just have to go back and work on a few things."

CLIFFORD STARKS: "It felt amazing being out there and it was a great way to make my UFC debut. It definitely brought my confidence up. I was going for the knock-out but this was great too. I'll take it!"

BART PALASZEWSKI: "It was an emotional fight for me. It took 10 years to get here and it was a long road. Now that I'm here, I'm here to stay. My strength hasn't gone done, but my speed has gone up. I saw him stumble and I saw my opportunity so I took a deep breath and went after him."

TYSON GRIFFIN: "Obviously I'm disappointed, what else can I say. That's what happens when you fight with 4-oz gloves."

HATSU HIOKI: "My game plan was to take him down but George kept great distance. It feels great to get my first UFC victory, but it was tougher than I expected."

GEORGE ROOP: "I was getting my takedowns just fine, but I couldn't get my jab established like I thought I could.  I wasn't surprised that he took me down, but I was surprised by how long he was able to keep me down.  I spent so much time trying to not get caught in his submissions, that I couldn't focus on the escapes. I'll have to go back and check the tapes to see if I agree with the scores or not, but I know the entire fight was extremely close."

SCOTT JORGENSEN: "I'm happy to be back on a winning streak. I wasn't as explosive or exciting as usual but I fought the fight I wanted to. I trained hard and got better. This is the first time I had a Jiu-Jitsu coach. I worked on technique and it showed out there."

JEFF CURRAN: "I felt very comfortable in guard throughout the whole fight, but i just ran out of time to implement my game plan.  I really felt like he was just trying to survive and just hanging on to me.  I tried a  few takedowns to score some points late in the fight, but it just didn't happen that way."

CHEICK KONGO: "I wasn't sure how to react to Mitrione's movements in the beginning. I was happy with my performance, especially my striking. I wanted to make him work. My game plan was to wait and see what he did."

MATT MITRIONE: "I felt like I was chasing him a lot so I couldn't force anything. I'm just really dissappointed in the whole thing. I'll be back though."
