UFC 141: Live Results & Play-By-Play
UFC 141 kicks off tonight in Las Vegas, Nevada with the long-awaited title eliminator between pay-per-view blockbuster, Brock Lesnar, and highly touted Alistair Overeem. The event will also feature other events with possible title implications such as lightweight Nate Diaz taking on Donald Cerrone, welterweight Jon Fitch battling Johny Hendricks and light heavyweight Vladimir Matyushenko squaring off against Alexander Gustafsson.

MAIN EVENT:
Nam Phan vs. Jimy Hettes
Rd1- Early clinch an hettes takes this one goes to the ground with Hettes on top. Phan standing, Jimy takes a guillotine and uses it to drop Phan back to the mat. Jimy lets go of the guillotine and begins teeing off from top position. Phan barely defending. Jimy with Phans back working in punches and Phan looks like he has no answer for this early onslaught. Phan to his feet but not without first taking a beating. Fighters reset and Phan now firing back causing Jimy to once again clinch and take this fight to the cage. Jimy impressively drops Phan once again to the floor, now into full mount. Phan's momentary life sucked right out from him. Jimy grabbing for an armbar, but Phan holding on for dear life. Jimy punishes Phan to let go. Jimy has about three ways to finish the fight from here if he can loosen up Phan a bit. Mount once again and a tee off to close the final seconds. 10-8 Easy for Hettes.
Rd2- Leg kick from jimy, clinch, against the cage and Phan pulls away. Quick jab from Hettes, grabs a single and pulls Phan once again to the mat. Hettes working his way up and Phan threatens an ankle, but hettes defends, mounts, grabs a momentarily choke and lets go. Phan tries to stand, Hettes pulls him down with a choke, but loses it and falls to his back. Phan takes the opportunity to deliver a few of his own shots before Jimy finally works his way back to his feet and onice again into the clinch. Tripped back to the mat. Phan able to wall-walk and resets to the center. Jimy working his jabs, clinches and again, easily to the mat. Phan fights for freedom, but Jimy is easily overpowering him. Very one-sided match thus far. 10-9 for Hettes.
Rd3- Body kick by Jimy, headkick is checked, and takedown is stuffed. Jimy takes a single and again takes this fight on the floor. Phan now showing a pretty good cut over his right eye. Phan stands, fighters reset, and Phan starts firing and pauses to wipe the blood from his eye. Hettes clinch, trip, mat, and fire away. Hettes with a deep triangle, but Phan survives. Jimy in top mount firing big rights. Huge elbiows. How long can this continue? Apparently 20 more seconds. Jimy throws a flury as time expires, and the crowd errupts with excitedment. Another 10-8 for Jimy earns him a 30-25 in MMA30's eyes.

Vladimir Matyushenko vs. Alexander Gustafsson
Rd1- Vlad with a quick flury and Alex backs up. Quickly back into motion for the two. Alex pawing out the jab, but more comfortable testing leg kicks to keep a comfortable distance from Vlad's KO power. Vlad catches a kick, clinches and throws a couple body shots before Alex separates and continues his stalking. Vlad ducks in, and Alex counters landing perfectly sinking Vlad to the mat. Alex ducks down to tee off and it doesn't take much for this one to be called to a stop!

Rd1- WOW! Fitch forward, and Hendricks lands a bomb!! Fitch sinks!

Nate Diaz vs. Donald Cerrone
Rd1- Cerrone would rat her raise his finger to Diaz than touch gloves. Here we go. Both men angrily into a flury and then a clinch, Diaz shooting to take the fight to the mat, clinched against the cage. Diaz peppering dirty boxing and his supporters come alive. Cerrone separates, but takes a punishment in exchange. Cerrone to a distance and a leg kick. Diuaz lands a big right followed by a good combination. Both men firing at will, but Diaz clearly very refined on his boxing skills. Cerrone dizzy early in this round and Diaz is outclassing him against the cage. Right and a left from Diaz. Cerrone is eating a ton. The Cowboy separates with a knee, but Diaz shrugs it off. Leg kick from Cerrone is answered by another big combinaton from Diaz. Cerrone has no answer. Both men continue to exchange, but Diaz continues to get the better of it. Cerrone all busted up as the round closes. 10-9 possibly 10-8 for Diaz.
Rd2- Leg kick from Cerrone and both men begin trading again. Cerrone looking recovered lands and Diaz falls to the mat but jumps quickly to his feet and continues his stalking. Big leg kick sends Diaz again to the floor. Cerrone looking confident and finding his range. Diaz again finds a home for his combos, but Cerrone now tranding punishment. Who can deliver the harder punch? Cerrone with a big kick again sends Diaz to the mat, but lets him up. Leg kick sweeps Diaz's feet out from under him, back up. Close range boxing, Cerrone's kick checked and he evades. Cerrone trips him again, and Diaz is looking worn out. His punches and coming with much less power. Cerrone lands a left, Diaz counters. Again trip to the mat. Diaz jabs and Cerrone stumbles backwards. Great round goes to Cerrone 10-9!
Rd3- Double fingers from Diaz to open this round. Diaz active early. Leg kick from Cerrone. Donald eats a combo. Diaz again finding a home, and Cerrone finds his rear on the mat. Cerrone back to his feet and Diaz is firing at will. Cerrone again with a leg kick that trips Diaz, but again, he lets him up. Cerrone with a knee to the body. Both men firing, hard to tell who's doing more damage at this point. Another sweep for Cerrone, Diaz stands and clinches. Left from the Cowboy. Flying knee taps Diaz on the chin. Diaz nailing Cerrone, Cerrone head kick lands, Diaz fires back, Cerrone sends him to the mat, both men fire away as the round ends. Candidate for fight of the year! Close round, edge towards Cerrone. Could go either way.

Brock Lesnar vs. Alistair Overeem
Rd1- Leg kick from Brock. Reem swings and misses. Brock looks like he does not want to get hit with one of those bombs. Reem stalking. Brock grabs a leg, but Reem evades. Clinch by Reem and a knee. Brock looks terrified!. Another big clinch from Reem and big punches from the cage. Brock escapes. Reem attacks, Brock to the floor, covers up, and Reem pounds him until the fight is stopped. Brock has scared himself out of MMA.
